About Shanley TV
Our Mission
Shanley TV started in 2015 as more than just a way to watch games online. Our mission is to provide students with authentic, hands-on experience in the media industry, immersing them in professional-grade equipment and the fast-paced world of live production.
Our productions empower students to explore their interests in broadcasting, whether their passions lie in front of the camera as on-air talent or behind the scenes as technical operators.
The Student Crew
Every broadcast you see is a major team effort. It takes a crew of 5-8 student volunteers to broadcast a single game, covering everything from the camera angles and graphics to the audio and commentary.
It's a big commitment. Our students don't just show up for the game. They're on-site early for setup and stay late for teardown, learning exactly what it takes to produce a professional live event from start to finish.
Support Shanley TV
We rely on the generosity of our viewers to deliver quality programming. Your support allows us to maintain equipment, add new features, and provide more students with unique learning opportunities.

We're incredibly grateful to the Shanley Athletic Club for their ongoing and vital support. Along with the Deacon Partner Program, these initiatives are essential to making Shanley TV possible. We encourage our fans to support these programs, as their success directly fuels our ability to broadcast.
Frequently Asked Questions
What sports do you broadcast?
Shanley TV aims to cover as many sports as possible. We broadcast select football, volleyball, soccer, hockey, and basketball games.
Do you broadcast away games?
Due to significant logistics, Shanley TV generally only covers home games played at Shanley High School. We do take our production on the road for select hockey broadcasts at Scheels Arena.
Why aren't you covering a specific game?
We wish we could cover every game, but each broadcast requires a crew of 5-8 students and a significant time commitment. Setting up and tearing down the gear takes hours of extra time on top of the game itself. The more students who join the club, the more events we can cover!
Do you broadcast playoff games?
No. Broadcast rights for playoff games are controlled by the NDHSAA, which has sold those rights to commercial broadcasters. Visit the NDHSAA website for information on playoff coverage.
